Princeton TMX Introduces Dex, an AI Agent That Lives Inside Your TMS

Fort Wayne, Indiana — July 14, 2026 — Princeton TMX introduces Dex, a new AI agent that lives inside the Princeton TMX platform and reads every load the way a seasoned dispatcher would. Rather than waiting for a problem to reach the phone, Dex flags the exceptions and issues that actually need attention — before they turn into a customer call.

Dex is the first release in what Princeton TMX calls Load Intelligence, a capability that turns the load audit data already flowing through the TMS into answers shippers can act on. It is live today, with more Dex functionality releasing throughout the year.

"The newly released AI Audit Tool within Princeton TMX is an absolute game changer. It allows quick and easy discovery for every experience level of user. Since its release, there isn’t a day that goes by that I do not at least use it once to help guide our facilities decisions!”

Ask a Question, Get an Answer

Dex replaces reports and screen-by-screen digging with plain-language questions.

A planner can simply ask:

  • Did I use the least-cost carrier on this load?
  • How long did it take to cover this load?
  • Is this load running on time?

No reports to run. No screens to dig through. The answer is right there — in language every user understands, regardless of experience level.

From Reacting to Staying a Step Ahead

For most teams, transportation management is reactive: issues surface when a customer calls, and the day is spent catching up. By reading each load and surfacing exceptions early, Dex helps teams move from reacting to freight toward staying a step ahead of it — with more control, faster decisions, and fewer surprises.

Because Dex is embedded directly in the Princeton TMX platform, there is nothing new to login to and no separate tool to learn. It works within the unified system shippers already use to manage truck, rail, barge, fleet, and intermodal transportation.
